Entertain or Educate!

In the content creation space, you have to ask yourself “why are they watching my content?”….

To make sure your content adds value, you want to ensure you’re entertaining or educating if not both.

We have two examples, a lifestyle influencer and a manufacturing business. What would education or entertainment be for each of these? After all, they’re not teachers or musicians! Analyze these examples and apply it to your business or personal brand.

Lifestyle Creator:

Entertainment for the lifestyle creator/influencer could be the typical Daily or Trip Vlogs or the popular GRWM (Get Ready With Me). This involves the creator narrating their actions/schedule or discussing an interesting story.

Education content could be highlighting how they became a creator and you can too, how to videos and why they choose the clothes & make up they wear, or teaching their audience how to secure the same work from home job they have if creating isn’t their main income. It depends on your primary niche then do more TEACHING about you topic over showing/discussing.

Manufacturing Business:

Company content tends to use a single “talent” to keep the content personal and relatable OR simply create independent videos for the entertainment field.

This would include relatable blue collar comedy or trying to fit the business’s product(s) into a new trend.

9 times out of 10 a business will want to create education content, as this is where simple commercials or brand awareness falls.

Other than your typical brand ad we can teach consumers about the facility, product(s), the team, training materials for in house use, and more. These all are education.
